Does anyone know about this? I read it on kfor.com after hearing rumors about fingernail polish being harful to your baby, from a friend, so I decided to look it up.
"A special Health Check report involves a serious warning for all pregnant women. Government health officials are now studying whether a chemical used in finger nail polish can damage a growing fetus or even lead to birth defects."
Is fingernail polish harmful while pregnant??
I am pregnant with baby 3 and I have always used finger nail polish. Just try not to inhale it if anything. Seriously, there are so many conflicting reports that this is one issue that does not concern me oppose to not smoking or drinking while pregnant or eating certain seafood. Good luck!

Reply:I'm pretty sure it's not harmful. I did hear that same thing too but I think that was old. check where you found that information and at the bottom of the page there is sometimes a date as to when the page was published. They have spa treatments for pregnant women so I don't think they would do it if it was harmful. If you're still unsure then call your Dr but I think his answer will be that it's fine.

Strange question..no its not harmful!
Reply:Honestly, as long as you don't inhale the fumes, I'd say it's not. Fingernail polish just sits on your nails (it does, however, damage the nails). Unless you drank the bottle I think you'd be fine.
