Getting nail polish out of a couch?

Earlier today my daughter got a hold of some nail polish and spilled it all over the couch (cloth couch). I tried using Nail polish remover, but to no avail. Any useful ideas on how to get it out?

Getting nail polish out of a couch?
OK my daughter did the same thing to my husbands cloth computer chair. Nailpolish remover just makes it set into the fabric. I used good ol white shaving cream(mens). It may take a few blots to get it up but I have used it on carpet to and it worked.. Go to Bob Villa website that is where i found the info... Good Luck
Reply:Good luck. try a little nail posih remover . i got a cover for my sofa!
Reply:Lighter fluid get nail polish off of anything, but please be sure to test a spot before using where it is noticable, my toddler spilt nail polish all over our hard wood floors and all over my clothes, it got it out instantly, good luck! : )
Reply:Try some awesome it doesn't cost much, and it gets out alot of stains!
Reply:try distilled vinegar . Sometimes lemon juice works also
Reply:(GOOf OFF) it works,,, not goo gone
Reply:Try goo gone
Reply:you could try some W-D40 it removes alot of stains
Reply:Nail polish remover is acetone, you can buy acetone in the paint section of the nearest home center. If you can get the cover off the couch it will help. I don't recommend pouring acetone on the couch itself, the foam that they made the couch with will be damaged by acetone. If you can't get the cover off try you can blot the stain off will a rag dampened with acetone, start on the edges of the stain and work you way into the center.
Reply:Try mens shaving cream not the gel but the foam stuff. I works pretty good as long as you haven't let it dry.
