Removing nail polish w/o nail polish remover?

Since I am unable to get nail polish remover, and my friend painted my nails last night (yeah, dumb choice) but I've scratched a lot of it off. But some of it still won't come off! Anyone have any suggestions, please? Thanks.

Removing nail polish w/o nail polish remover?
the only remedy i know of is applying more nail polish and don't wait a second as soon as its on wipe it off, it'll take off what you applied and what was there before; BUT some might still be there in the corners, for that I'd suggest using a toothpick or something of that kind with cotton on the end to like get it out. my friend say you could buff it off, but I know that would take forever and a day
Reply:Try scratching it off while you're in the shower. It peels better with the steam. Other than that you really should use NP remover. Peeling is really damaging.
Reply:put a little nail polish (preferably clear) on each nail and wipe it off. both polishes will come off
Reply:i dont really know but u could put like a fresh coat of nail polish on and wipe it off. it would come off but it's wasting nail polish. so the remover would be a good thing to get.
Reply:alcohol or white board cleaning fluid haha
Reply:Don't scratch it off, it will damage your nail surface. Try anything with acetone in it. Or soak your hands with warm/hot water for 14 minutes, take your nails out and take a rough sort of towel and gently rub it off. Maybe try alcohol or vinegar?
