Do any Polish Bakeries make Paczkis during the year, not just on Fat Tuesday?

if you are not familiar with this, I will explain.

here in Detroit, there is a city within Detroit where there is a large Polish population. On Fat Tuesday, which is the day before Ash Wednesday, they make these doughnuts (Paczkis) that are made with lots of eggs and lard and fill them with delicious custard and anything else you can think of. they are delicious.

I was wondering if any Polish bakeries out there made these things all year round?

shoot, good question! i'm just outside detroit and polish! woo hoo! i would seriously assume that there's a bakery around us that would make them all year round because you're right, there's a large polish population around here! i know a lot of places make delicious pierogies and other polish food so i'd assume they'd make paczkis :-)
Reply:You know, that's REALLY funny! We both posted a question about Polish bakery-style foods today!!! I also live in a largly polish-populated town, but I'm not polish! People always try to talk to me in Polish %26amp; when I answer them in English to say that I'm not Polish they're always surprised!! I guess I could pass for Polish. Check out my 360 page %26amp; look at my pics!!
Reply:I live in Mississauga Canada and they are available all year round but are usually filled with a plum filling.
Reply:aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

thanks...I am now craving Paczkis...whatever they might be!
