Nail polish remover and laptops...?

ok, i am not very domestic...i attempted to clean my laptop this morning, used nail polish remover (ingredients water, acetone, propylene gycerol...and many other chemicals) and i wiped the touch pad u use to control the pointer...now, it doesn't work, like it has lost its sensitivity-is it because of the nail polish remover?? any way to fix it or will i have to buy a mouse?

Nail polish remover and laptops...?
you blew it. and please do not use water on your laptop. they make spray cleaners specifically for electronics. make the investment. very cheap in the long run
Reply:I have cleaned many things but never used nail polish remover to CLEAN anything! What possessed u 2 do that? Girl u may as well head to Wal-Mart...and buy some cleaner for the appropiate item u r cleaning while u r there! Good Luck Mrs.Clean.
Reply:Hi. I think you would like a USB wireless mouse better anyway. (No comment on the cleaning technique!)
Reply:I think you wrecked it. Next time try cleaning it with water and a cloth. If it doesn't work you will probably have to buy a new mouse. SORRY.
Reply:May have messed it up. It's not a good idea to use all kinds of chemicals on these things.
