Nail polish help?

okay so i just bought new sally hanson, diamond strength, nail polish thats a really cute pink color. Usually the nail polish i buy has sparkles or shimmer built in but this one is just a plain pink that i thought would be cute. So when i tried to put it on a few minutes ago it didnt go on smooth, but chunkyish/stringy i guesS? the brush kept making indents and the only way it went on smooth was if i put a huge glob on and waited 10 minutes for one nail to try and then eneded up dinging it and having to start over. I stoped after one nail and decided to ask here. what am i suppose to do??

Nail polish help?
It might be old. If you have the receipt take it back. First try and roll it in your hands for a Minute and warm it up, this will help with not being so thick. Apply a drop or two of nail polish remover in it, to thin it out a little. Take the brush out and clean it off with nail polish remover and smooth the bristles strait, and retry the application. If all fails, take it back because most likely it's expired and is old.
Reply:don't use that nail polish anymore
Reply:You can add a touch of nail polish remover to the polish then shake it up, just a drop or two. I know it sounds weird, but it works. Sounds like it is old polish, probably in their inventory for awhile.
Reply:DO NOT USE IT
Reply:It's an old bottle of polish that must have been on the store shelf for a very long time. You would be better off returning it than trying to thin it. While nail polish remover will thin it, often it makes the polish flakey so it won't stay on your nails for any length of time.
Reply:dont use that finger nail polish anymore...
