Reply:FIrst, always start off with clean nails. Then apply a good quality basecoat. Don't skimp on the quality of the basecoat because not all basecoats are created equally. It pays to spends a couple of bucks extra to get good quality. Remember, clear polish will not work the same as basecoat, and should not be used as such. Basecoats serve a few different functions. First, they provide a barrier between your natural nails, and the polish. This helps to prevent staining from the polish - especially the darker shades. Second, it serves as sort of a double-sided tape in a sense because it adheres well to your nails, and it also provides a 'sticky' surface for the nail polish to adhere to. And polish will go on more smoothly when a bascoat is used. Clear polish does not do all of these things. Basecoat is essential.

As for polish, if it is in your budget to do so, then try to avoid the cheap brands. That doesn't mean that you need polish for $16 a bottle as some overpriced brands cost. But, stay around the $5-$8 range. Good ones are made by China GLaze, CND, Essie, OPI, and there are a few more.

First, never shake nail polish. Always roll it between the palms of your hands. Shaking it will create a LOT of tiny air bubbles which will show up when you polish is dry, and it won't look very good either. Apply polish in two thin coats. The second coat should be applied a few minutes after the first. It is fine if you wait for it to dry first, but it is also unnecessary to do so. Make sure that this is also a thin coat. Let this dry for about 5 minutes.

Then, finish it all off with a Fast Drying Topcoat such as Seche Vite, or Out The Door. They will not only dry quickly (within a couple of minutes), but they will also help to dry the layers of nail polish underneath it. One medium coat of topcoat is sufficient. And in this case too, clear nail polish is not the same thing as Quick Drying Topcoat. It will take forever for your nails to dry if you use clear polish because it does nothing to dry the layers below it.
Reply:Get a similar or same color of the nail polish from a different store.
Reply:Shake The Bottle Of Nail Polish And Then B4 U Start Painting Your Nails Do A Bottom Coat Of Clear And Then Wait For That To Dry And Then Paint Your Nails Any Color You Would Like And Then Wait For That To Dry Then put another coat of clear on it and it will stay longer
Reply:Dont buy cheap polish and make sure you leave time inbetween applying coats. I use OPI Chipskip, its a polish primer that balances the PH in your nails so the laquer will stick to it longer. It works great, my polish doesnt chip for atleast 2 weeks.
Reply:okay this is what i do

put the nail polish on and then put a clear coat over it and usually i put 2 clear coats over it but the clear coat should make it stay on and it makes your nails stronger [:
Reply:it means that this brand of nail polish isn't the best. you should try to find the same nail polish color that you want but in a different brand.
