Nu Finish Car Polish?

So I bought some Nu Finish Car Polish, but I've never waxed a car before. I know I have to wash, dry, etc. But after researching it, I keep reading stuff on waxes and polishes. The stuff I bought said it works BETTER than a wax. Does that mean I actually don't wax it? I read you should polish THEN wax a car, but I'm confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to stay under the $10 range on wax b/c I don't have money...and I don't have a ton of time...a couple hours total. I know that sounds cheap, but it's true. The stuff I bought was $6 (paste) and they had plain turtle wax for $3.

Nu Finish is good stuff. No need to do any prep except for a wash and dry. Just put a small amount on a soft cloth or applicator pad and rub it in using circular motion. Do one panel at a time and make sure you cover all areas evenly by overlapping. After it all dries, wipe it off with a clean, lint-free cloth and move onto the next panel.
Reply:i use both and they work well the other day i wash and polish with the nu finish and today i washed and turtle waxed my car and I'm telling my car has a really amazing shine to it i think wax and polish are very good products Report It

Reply:New Finish is nice but it is yesterdays news.

The latest technology is Acrylic Paint Conditioners.

They are as different from wax as day and night.

Reply:The stuff you bought is just fine. Apply it in the shade, not in the sun or on a very hot day. Do a small section at a time to see how quick it dries. Use old cotton or terrycloth towels. You ''don't'' need to wax over the polish.
