How do the Polish feel about the Dutch?

I am Dutch and of course I have noticed that many Polish people currently work in the Netherlands.

My mother has many Polish coworkers and they get along great, they have fun, buy presents for each other: they get along as friends. But I don't know if this is the situation in every company.

Because there is quite a language barrier I was wondering how the Polish feel about the Dutch (on average): do you feel respected? Do you feel taken serious? Do you feel welcome? (not just at work, but also in society, for example when you go out to get groceries)

Also to those who have family working in the Netherlands: how do you feel about it?

How do the Polish feel about the Dutch?
Im polish and i actually have friends that are from the Netherlands and we get along great!.....although it is not always the same situation. It depends on who you meet. my cousin actually is over there right now and shes doing great.....ive personally never been there but i probably will someday!
Reply:Well I'm from poland but never been to netherlands. Um we don't really have any problems wth the dutch, its the english that we have a few problems with(sometimes).
Reply:hi, I'm polish and ill tell you one thing Polish people are very friendly and nice, well but really it depend on their mood swings. So yea i do think that Polish people are nice and friendly to the Dutch and plus there a lot of Dutch beer in Poland so i guess yes.
Reply:I am not Polish but British and I have lived in Poland for seven years now and I work for the Dutch Polish chamber of commerce magazine here in Poland.

And I would have to say that Dutch people are very liberal and friendly around the world and their reputation is the same in Poland.

There is a slight resentment in the Business world due to their overwhelming success in the banking sector of the big Dutch banks, ING Bank and ABN Amro, which are the two key players in the Banking sector in Poland.

Most of the Polish people that I speak to about Dutch people have nothing but good words for them and with them opening the work market last year this friendship can only develop further.

As with polska200822 mentioning about the problems with the British this is in some way true, because the Polish have more contact with British through working in the country, and if you have more frequent experiences with a nation then quite obviously you will encounter problems.

After all, we as humans only tend to speak about the negative issues and not the positive side of life; therefore, the negative issues are more prominent and popular due to their frequency. :O)
