Furniture polish disaster?

I just dusted everything with a new furniture polish I purchased because I had a coupon. What junk, everything is streaked and looks like I rubbed butter on the wood. What furniture polish do you use that does not leave steaks and shines nicely?

To remove polish build-up, mix 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water. Rub furniture with a soft cloth that has been moistened with the solution. Dry immediately with a clean cloth...

Reply:Pledge is probably the worst thing you can use. The oil in it never goes away and will cause disasters should you ever need to repair or refinish it.

Chances are you put it on too heavy. Buff with a dry cloth and read the directions.
