Are there any Polish Speaking/ English Speaking people who can help me find a site to make a butter lamb?

When I was a child, my mom and I used to make butter lambs. I want to make one now but I can't remember exactly how to do it. I found 3 websites, but they don't help. This is a polish tradition and I tried to translate the words "Make butter lamb" into Polish and searched google, but I couldn't find anything. Are there any people out there who speak both Polish and English who could help me find a site with pictures? Thanks.

Hi,

a butter lamb? well this tradition has seemed completely unknown to me despite the fact that I am Polish. A quick look at google has revealed to me that this is a tradition of Western Poland, around Poznan, or deep in the South. Search for "baranek z masła".

best regards
Reply:I didn't know it was a Polish tradition. I get the butter in a plastic lamb mold every year. They have it at the grocery stores this time of year. But Chicago has a large Polish population. I have lived in many different neighborhoods and always found them readily available. I would think once you have the plastic form, you would fill it with softened butter, then put it in the refrigerator to get hard so you could pop it out of the form.
