Black nail polish?

Okay, so I just bought nail polish. I want to wear it into school on Monday. What impression does black nail polish give to people? I want to know, but it's not going to put me off wearing it! I have no problem with it, obviously.

but then the next minute i see

Reply:Really, it shouldn't portay much to people. Unless you're dressing dark and acting like you're dying, black nail polish is cute and trendy.
Reply:black nail polish is really trendy right now. all different types of people are wearing it. it's such a fad right now, i doubt anyone would get any kind of impression from you wearing it-- they'll just think you're being fashionable.
Reply:Oh, it won't have any effect. I wear it! Its considered stylish to wear bold nail polish. It makes you feel more elegant and it just looks better!

Reply:When I see black nail polish (on any day other than Halloween), my "immature Emo kid" radar goes on. Though you might like your black nail polish, in this world people do judge by appearances- it's sad, but true. If you are set on painting your nails black, do it- but don't be angry if you get some dirty looks or someone avoids your glance.
Reply:Funnily enough, alot of celebrities such as Misha Barton and Ashlee Simpson wear black nail varnish. However, it could give people the impression you are a goth or an emo.

and when boys do it, i think that they probably like the same bands as i and are not insecure with their sexuality. and it doesnt make me automatically assume they're gay or something because those stereotypes are stupid. [P.S- i love LGBT just the same as straights, im in my school GSA =] ]

Reply:I don't think you'll get a response that you are gothic unless your a new student. Your friends and peers know you are not gothis so don't worry. I wear black nail polish sometimes to. It doesn't mean your gothic or strange. As long as you are dressed in regular clothes you should be fine.
