Strengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?

My fingernails are very soft and brittle. I've been trying a few different strengthening polishes, but haven't found one that works well. I've used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, but it just flakes off the first day. I've also tried Sally Hansen No More Breaks, but it just seems to dry out my nails.

Has anyone found one that works really well?

Also - what about a long-lasting colour polish that actually stays on longer than a day?

Thanks! :)

Strengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?
Nailtek and Nailtiques. Both of them have different formulas for different nail types, I think you need either II or III, just be sure it says "for brittle nails". It is a bit expensive.

For polish to stay, use a good base coat, 2 coats of color, and a good top coat, then re apply top coat every 3rd day
Reply:I had the same problem. I used the Sally Hansen system. It works great!
Reply:i use nail hardener by Mavala. i think it makes a difference. you should visit www.mavala.com to find out more
Reply:I would advise keeping your nails short, giving them time to gain strength before growing them longer. Keep some hand cream next to the sink and every time you wash your hands gentle push your cuticles back with a towel and apply some cream concentrating on the cuticles. I would keep a pot of cuticle oil or cream next to your bed and do the same at night. Essie can supply you with all these products and there nail varnishes are very durable. All my clients select Essie over the other brands. Jessica also do base coats for specific nail types. Also, make sure that when you file your nails you only file them in one direction and avoid excessive use of detergents and wear gloves when washing up.
Reply:If you really want to see a change on your nails, eat jello. YES jello will strength your nails and also taking a vitamin you can get over the counter at Walgreen's or Walmart. There are several brands. Good Luck.
Reply:get a manicure and buff regurlaly. Apply a top coat after any nail colour and it will last longer.
Reply:OPI Nail Envy. This stuff is the best strengthening/growth nail polish I have ever used. I swear by it and won't buy anything but. It is pretty pricey though, worth every penny. You can get it at any nail salon. If your local Wal-Mart has a nail salon, buy it there, you can usually get it for about $10 cheaper than salons. It costs between $10 and $20. Lasts a long time though it don't get thick and goopy.
Reply:no, it doesnt work,,,,,,, go for a manicure
