Black nail polish?

I just painted my nails black becaus ei think it is kida cute. My bbf hates the black nail polish. I not goth or anything i just like it.. what i ur opinion of black nial polish? Guys opinions would be great too.

Reply:It is seen by many as being a goth thing but just because you wear it doesn't mean you're goth. I'm a guy and like to wear it from time to time. I'm not goth but just like the way it looks as long as it's not chipped. I wore my nails kinda medium long and squared painted black for last halloween. I kinda got used to it, they were fake nails and I wore them regularly for quite a while. Some girls who noticed seemed to be intrigued. However I don't think I'll be doing that for a while, found it hard to type and do stuff. Shorter is better. Black nail polish is still cool.

Reply:I think it has some negative connotations for some people because a lot of "goth" or "punk" styles go with it. Depending on what you wear with with the nail polish, it can look tacky or elegant.
Reply:not chipped AT ALL on short well manicured nails is cute. but chipped or on longer nails is either tacky, ugly or goth looking. you could try really dark maroon or grey instead of black too.

Reply:sorry not a guy! lol but i think black nail polish used to be a goth thing.. and im sure in some ways it still is, but its also become really trendy and chic recently.. so i think its cute!! sometimes i wear it, and then put on a light coat of something shimmery or sparkly over it just to make it girlier lol.. my favorite is black nail polish with a red sparkle over it.. its really cute!
